Software-Defined Networking (SDN) has gained special attention in both academia and industry. It is a new network architecture framework for networking, which decouples the network control plane from the data plane at physical topology. SDN promotes centralization of network control and introduces the ability to program the network. However, the development of the SDN is constrained by various security concerns, e.g., the central management of SDN is ideal for security attack. This comparison reviews security solutions in SDN against specified security requirements in order to figure out open issues and motivate future research efforts.
