Comparison

The digital twin (DT) concept is becoming popular in the smart city domain. DT can be considered as a mirrored digital counterpart to a physical system and linking their information throughout the physical counterpart’s life cycle [Grieves, Vickers, 2017]. The creation of DT for a city will help to reflect the city's structure and behavior and can be used to guide smart city development. This comparison shows thematic analysis of the city DT articles. Five themes were identified to organize and describe the city DT’s current and prospective potentials and challenges: data management, visualization, situational awareness, planning and prediction, and integration and collaboration. These five themes are also described via applications. An article can relate to more than one theme. This ORKG comparison presents the research results from the following paper [Shahat E et al, 2021]
