The DNA barcode has been used to inventory in different regions in the world, showing to be a useful tool to inventory species, mainly in groups highly diversified. This comparison analyze different studies with DNA barcoding (COI) in the Neotropic, showing that this tool is useful to identify specimens correctly and discover potentially undescribed new taxa.
