Stark broadening is a general effect that is presented in the emitted light of transitions of atoms or ions immersed in a plasma. Considering that the plasma state constitutes a large percent of the matter in the Universe, it is one of the most powerful tools to diagnose astrophysical and laboratory plasmas; remotely and without interfering with the plasma. The study of variations of this broadening along an isoelectronic sequence, is a simple methodology to predict values of this parameter. The comparison presents the characteristics of various experiments where the isoelectronic evolution of Stark broadening of Be-like ions transitions is studied.
