Stark broadening is a general effect that is presented in the emitted light of transitions of atoms or ions immersed in a plasma. Considering that the plasma state constitutes a large percent of the matter in the Universe, it is one of the most powerful tools to diagnose astrophysical and laboratory plasmas. The comparison presents the characteristics of various experiments where the isoelectronic evolution of Stark broadening of He-like and B-like ions transitions are studied.
