Comparison of the ion-pairing effect on bond length alternation (BLA) in heptamethine cyanine dyes based on theoretical and experimental results. In this comparison main focus is on two counterions, that is, the small bromide anion (Br-) and the large (tris(tetrachlorocatecholato)phosphate(1-))(TRISPHAT) anion.
